The Devils chair
Scary stories have been around for centuries upon centuries, some are true and some are not. Some scary stories are based on urban legends others are based on true crimes. This one is based on an urban legend from Kansas.
An old farmer in Alma, Kansas refused to sell his land to the city in order to build a new cemetery. someone got tired of waiting for him to give in and sell his land so they pushed him down his well. Eventually, someone reported a foul smell coming from the well. So the city sent someone to investigate, it was reported empty and was boarded up.
Now if you make your way up to Alma, you can actually sit on the boarded-up well, but legends have it people who do mysteriously disappear a little bit after.
