Once Human.
I was human when this world was young. I remember it well. I was young and beautiful. But beautiful back then isn't the same as it is now in this era of computer generated woman and expensive lazier treatments. I'm considered plain by low standards and ugly by high ones. Humans change so easily. Their concepts of beauty change like the seasons. I guess a lot has changed in the two hundred years that I haven't been human. I am a Reaper, one of the few chosen to lead this life. I willingly chose this life of forever solitude for a sweet little boy by the name of Landon. He's my son. The first time a mother looks into her newborn baby's eyes she makes a promise, to protect her baby even at the cost of her own life. But it wasn't my life I gave up all those years ago. It was my soul.
