I would like to be like Peter Pan",
said the little daughter of Eve.
She giggled at the tales of the lost boys,
and Tinker Bell''s little adventures.
"Whys that?" asked the older son of Adam.
"He can fly!" She yelled loud as she could,
jumping on her plush white custioned bed.
"Be careful." He laughed as he watched her
dance about in her pink pajamas and her array of
curls that trailed down her back.
The little daughter of Eve smiled,
then fell back into her feather pillows laughing harder and more.
"Brother! When will Peter come to see us?"
She asked pouting.
The older son of Adam tucked her sheets
and quilts up to her neck smiling.
"When he thinks your ready to fly, my little baby bird."
He kissed her forehead lightly,
hugging her tight.
"Brother wait!
Please unlock the window!" She begged.
He laughed and walked over the old lock on
the window un latching it.
"So Tinker Bell can come see you?" He asked,
already knowing the answer.
"Of course!
Good night my brother, I love you."
She smiled cuddling up with
her porcelain doll named Marie,
with its black curls and
brown eyes.
Her brother smiled back.
" Love you too, good night my sister."
He shut the door,
but left it ajar,
since he knew, she
hated the dark.
The next day,
the little daughter of Eve
found her brother lying on the sidewalk with
the neighbors crowding him.
" Why is my brother sleeping on the ground?"
She asked the nearest person.
They frowned to her,
and told her that her dear older brother
was dead,
but no one knew who would do such a thing.
The little daughter of Eve cried
for a long time, watching as her dear brother was
covered with the earth and colorful flowers.
Eve cried,
on her knees as Adam cradled her tight
as their daughter could only bstare.
That night,
no stories of Peter Pan
or Tinker Bell or the lost boys.
Her brother wasn't there to tell her
that he'll come soon,
just she wait!
The little daughter of Eve cried herself to
a deep sleep, as
nightmares cradled her mind
to more tortures and pain.
She awoke with a cold sweat covering her
body and she could cry some more.
The little daughter of Eve
saw a light outside the window,
and she ran to the window,
opening it wide as she could!
"Tinker Bell!"
She yelled with glee.
"Can you wake up my dear brother?"
She asked.
The little daughter of Eve was
in so much shock that she was having
hallucinations, and
she was dreaming of Never-land again.
She pulled herself on the ledge
and looked out to the lights outside.
Her pink room was located three stories high,
and she thought,
Tinker Bell will give me Pixy Dust!
The little daughter of Eve smiled with glee,
and yelled out
"Brother look!
I'm flying!"
Then the next day,
the neighbors gossiped some more
about the poor little pair
who believed in Never-Land.
A young son of Adam dressed in all green
sat on the roof, watching about
as he saw the blood run down the stone pavement,
and the tears being shed.
His dagger in his hand he clutched it tight,
as it sparkled after that last speck of blood was gone...
"It is time to go, 'Peter.'" Whispered
Tinker Bell, "or they'll know!"
'Peter' smiled, stood and ran off the
black roof,
flying high as it ever could be
dropping the white cloth dyed the
color of blood...
"Thank you, you lovely pair,
you were really entertaining." He laughed hard,
as he made to the far star to the right,
back to his "Never-Land."

Well I guess it was just the contrast between the innocence of the girl and fairytale-ness and death. And I definitely loved the twist! I love it so much better than the classic fairytale.

Why did it make you cry? & kind of yes & no. It was the darker version of a fairytale that usually have a happy ending. Some people aren't looking for the obvious ending some are for the twist. Is that good or bad?

Oh, this legitimately made me cry, and then it was kind of haunting, almost a twisted fairytale? I've never read something quite like it before.
