Old Maple
There was once a tree named Old maple who lived at the park. He loved children and would let them climb up his branches every day. He had rich soil and plenty of water and sunlight. Life was good for old Maple, but he was 100 years old and began to lose his leaves. He knew he didn’t have much longer to live. One by one his leaves and branches would fall. After a month he was on his final day. He closed his eyes and spoke his final words. He said, “I have lived a long and happy life, and I will die a peaceful death.” The End.
