A Caring Heart
Everyone I work with has a different heart. Anna’s heart will always speak her mind. Hannah’s heart is compassionate, making sure each resident is well taken care of. My heart is young, watching each of my coworkers: learning from them. Joyce’s heart is fast and furious, making meals for each resident. Jen’s heart is experienced; working, working, working… running the home with the sweetest spirit.
However, Anna, Hannah, Joyce, Jen, and me have one thing in common. A caring heart. Each day we go to work, we have one main goal, make sure each resident has the best day possible, we never know when it could be their last. Hoping each resident will reach their goal: walking on their own, eating on their own, or brushing their teeth and hair on their own. Taking time, working well together, being a team, working for one common purpose: the residents. Each time a resident tells us “thank you” or smiles at us, our caring hearts will grow a bit more. A caring heart is one we all share; and is open to anyone who steps into our home.
