Everyday Pedro goes to school.  He studied Math, Science, English, Art and French.  For lunch his mom packed him a sandwich which includes tomato, ham, lettuce, cucumbers, and cheese.  He would always eat with his friend named Joel and Joel would eat the school's lunch.  One day Joel didn’t go to school.  Pedro thought he was sick. The next day came and Joel did not come.  Pedro waited one more day and then he went to Joel's house.

“Where is Joel?” asked Pedro nervously.
“The police took him to jail Pedro,” said Joel’s mother sadly.
“Why did they take him?” asked Pedro.
“They thought that he has murdered someone,” said Joel’s mother.
“Why he was at school everyday-,” said Pedro.
“And at home around the same time everyday,” interrupted Joel's mother.
“I’m going to talk to the police after school,” said Pedro.  The next day after school Pedro goes to the Police Station.
“Chief, why did my friend, Joel, get arrested?” asked Pedro.
“He was arrested because we think he had murdered someone,” said the chief.
“He didn’t murder anyone because he’s always home after school around the same time,” said Pedro.
“Well it seems he has murdered someone,” said the chief.
“But chief, Joel is innocent!” said Pedro.
“Sorry, but you must leave now,” said the chief.  The next day Pedro tries to break Joel out of his cell.  Joel had a cellmate named Frank.  When Pedro show up Frank wasn’t there.  Frank was in the courtyard lifting weights.  While Frank was lifting weights, Pedro went to Joel’s cell to break him out.
“Joel! Joel! I’m here to break you out,” said Pedro.
“No, don't you are going to get caught Pedro,” said Joel.
“I have to.  You didn't murder anyone Joel,” said Pedro.
“I know Pedro, but if you break me out you're going to jail too,” said Joel.
“I know, but you are my best friend,” said Pedro.
“If  I get called innocent and you are in jail you won't be able to see me at school,” said Joel.
“Hey you there!” said a police guard.
“Run Pedro, run!” said Joel.  Pedro then gets caught by the police guard a few minutes later.
“You are going to jail for five days Pedro,” said the guard.  After the five days of jail and two days of going to school, Pedro returns to the Police Station. He tries to break Joel out again.  The Police officer sees Pedro walk in and remembers him.  The Police officer saw something sticking out of his sweater sleeve and thought he was going to break someone out.
“Hey you!” exclaimed the police officer.
“What officer?” said Pedro.
“What do you have in your pocket?” asked the officer.
“Nothing,” Pedro replied.
“So you won’t mind if I give you a pat down,” asked the officer.
“No officer,” said Pedro confidently.
“What’s your name?” asked the officer.
“My name is Pedro,” Pedro replied.
“What is this inside your sleeve, a crowbar huh,” said the officer.
“No, “ Pedro said.
“Were you going to breakout someone, aren't you?” said the officer.
“Yes,” said Pedro sadly.
“You're kicked out and you can’t come back or you will be sentenced to jail!” said the police officer.  A month later the trial came for Joel.
“Joel, do you have any witnesses?” said the judge.
“Yes judge, my witness is Pedro,” Joel replied.
“Pedro may you come to the witness stand,” said the judge.  Pedro then starts walking to the witness stand.
“What is your evidence that shows that Joel is not guilty,” said the judge.
“My question is, when did the murder happen?” Pedro asked.
“The murder happened on September 3, “ said the judge.
“We were at Joel’s house doing a project on science, judge,” said Pedro.
“How would you show us you guys made a science project?” said the judge.
“We took a picture of our science project,” replied Pedro.
“May I see the picture you guys took of your project,” said the judge.  Pedro then hands his phone with the picture to the judge.
“What time do you guys think that person was murdered?” asked Pedro.
“The person got murdered at three-thirty p.m. Pedro,” replied the judge.
“Look at the picture Judge it was at three twenty-five,” said Pedro.
“Okay that's all Pedro, you may sit down,” said the judge.
“Attorney, do you have anything to say?” asked the judge.
“Yes sir, I would like to say that Joel’s friend, Pedro is a friend that everyone should have because he had tried saving his friend from getting convicted of murder and being sent to jail, that's all sir,” said Joel’s attorney.  A few days later after the trial of Joel they returned to the court. Joel and Pedro are eager to see if Joel is called innocent.  Then they start to hear the judge declare if  Joel is either innocent or guilty.
“A boy named Joel was convicted of a crime of murder,” said the judge. “We had a trial to consider him innocent or guilty…”
“I hope I’m innocent,” said Joel.
“Me too,” said Pedro.
“Mom are you going to be proud of Pedro?” asked Joel.
“Yes, I am because he tried to help you get out of jail,” said Joel’s mom.
“What if I’m innocent mom, will you throw me and Pedro a party?” asked Joel.
“Yes I will,” replied Joel’s mom.
“ Okay the jury had to do some hard thinking because of the evidence a boy named, Pedro has given us,” said the judge.
“The jury has considered Joel…” said the judge.  A police officer had walked up next to the judge and whispered to him.
“Judge get on with it!” somebody yelled.
“Oh, sorry for the interruption, Joel is considered, guilty!” said the judge.
“What!” said Pedro
“What!” said Joel’s mom.
“NO!” said Joel, “why am I considered guilty?”
“Judge that was the wrong one,” whisper  the police guard to the judge.
“Sorry guys that was the wrong paper.  Joel is considered innocent!”
“Yay!” yelled everyone in the courtroom.
“Thank you Pedro!” said Joel.
“No problem Joel, since you are my greatest friend,”said Pedro.
“Now let's go to my house and have a celebration on what you have done,”said Joel.  When Joel and Pedro went to school, a day after the trial, everyone went up to Pedro to say, “I can’t believe that you got Joel considered innocent!” After that day everyone began to talk with them more and more.
