I trembled with fear as my size 9 feet stepped out onto the stage. My shoes scraped the floor with every step I took. It was my turn, my turn to be the scientist. Frankenstein was the play, a classic written before I was even born. “How--?” I couldn’t even finish my sentence before I heard a loud clang and a small shriek. “I am so sorry Isabella!” I whispered as I helped her pick up her tuba and collect her sheet music. My face must have been as red as fire. But it didn't matter what I said to her, she was still mad. It was her solo time, and I ruined it. As I dragged myself back onto the stage, I heard whispers and chuckles coming from the audience. I knew I had to get back up and finish my lines. I was already going to be the laughing stock of the school, but I figured running off stage would increase my chances even more. As I recited my lines, I felt confident. Not nervous, but I knew that I had just put myself in a bad position, and It was bad. Really, really, bad.
