Shredding
Fear coursed through my carbon fibers as I realized where my future was headed. Even though I've been hung on this cold white door for 3 months, I've obviously served my purpose. This...human, as the others called it at the mill, was going to shred me. I'm the last of my kind. The kind humans call Bills. The human kept finding us. I watched as he shredded us one by one. Some were found under the bed and some on the table.
"My life is about to end," I thought to myself. Then, like the red sea parting, the phone rang. I was set down. Another day my foe, another day.
