light at the end of a tunnel
I could feel the uncomfortable numbness in my chest and the lump in my throat. I couldn’t believe the effort it took to just get out of bed in the morning. My body was as heavy as lead. I didn’t understand why my life was just the same day repeating itself over and over. The discomfort was always there in the back of my mind, like the dull ache of a burn. This is what a typical day would feel like for me just a year ago. Through family and friends, I learned that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
