Essay contest: Making the world better
One way that I have made a difference in this world was when I helped run a soup kitchen with my friend in milwaukee with my church. I remember I would help heat up the soup and give it to the people who served it. After the people were done eating me and my friend hung out with one of the kids eating there and we played around the church courtyard where it was held. And I remember that kid being so happy that we were there for him he had a huge slime on his face. This happened almost 4 years ago and I remember like it was yesterday. It still brings a smile to my face that I made an impact on people's lives in a good way. Another thing I have done to make impact on my community was raise money for my hockey team for state so we could have the funding for are team to be more successful I had to go around my community and sell coupons for are fundraiser and I made a large impact on the team because we raised money and got the financial support we needed to be more successful in state. I was only in 8th grade when this happened so it taught me to get out and do stuff for others and be a part of something for example my hockey team. Going out and earning that money brought many smiles to our faces in a game at state and we ended up winning that year and that money had an impact on us winning.
