The Reseller
One upon a time, there was a kid named Steven that resold sneakers as a hobby. He went out every single morning to pawn shops, and shoe resell stores to see if he can find anything for a steal that he can flip and sell for more. Everyday he wished to find a grail shoe that could make him rich and famous. He also always wanted to be like the big-name people with thousands of shoes in their closets.
One morning, Steven woke up earlier in the morning because he was going to meet up with two different people trying to buy shoes off of him. Before anything, Steven went by a couple stores looking for anything interesting people would want. There was a long line to go into the Nike outlet so he inferred that there was a nice discount or new sneakers releasing in-store. He went to wait in line to see if he could buy anything to resell and make even more money. It was taking so long and Steven was trying his hardest to stay patient but he remembered that he was multiple sells to do that same day.
At that moment, Steven knew he needed to do a heart-aching decision wether to stay in line for new shoes, or go sell shoes he already has lined up and still make money. There was so many people in line that sounded excited but Steven decided to leave to go do the sells he already had to do. On the way to the meet up spot, Steven knew he could’ve missed out on something big but he tried to forget about it and said, “ Maybe I didn’t miss out on something important.”
Once Steven arrived at the meet-up spot, he started conversation with the other person buying his shoe. They came to a conclusion price for the shoes. At the end, Steven brought up the line at the Nike outlet, he asked if he knew what it was all about. The buyer told Steven that there was just a bunch of running and track sneakers that don’t sell well. After doing both sells with the individuals, at the end of the day Steven went back to the Nike outlet to see if he could find anything.
To his relieve, there was still shoes in stock that hadn’t been sold and he found pairs that he knew his mother would love, appreciate, and enjoy. Steven was both relieved, but frustrated to find out that the line was just a huge discount Nike had going on for running shoes that not many people buy. Steven decided to check out what they have in stock and looked around to see if there is anything someone he knows would want. He remembered it was about to be his mother’s birthday in 2 weeks and he could’ve gotten her some shoes as a birthday present.
He called his mother to see how she was doing and if she needs anything. Then showed her around the Nike store to ask if there is anything she likes. She agreed to multiple pairs of shoes and Steven got her them and surprised her on her birthday with the shoes and much more. As a shocking surprise, when Steven surprise his mother with the pairs of running shoes on her birthday, she showed him a pair of grail sneakers that she had found at a garage sale not too long ago. She had kept the pair of shoes a secret so she could surprise Steven with them because she knows Steven has been looking for an expensive pair of shoes for years on end, and he had finally acquired them. That only motivated Steven more to make even more sells and trades to be rich and help his mother out as much as possible in the very near future.

I thought about this story because I personally am into sneakers, but not reselling.
