When The Day Becomes Night
The day becomes night,
I lay there wondering.
Just how this thunderstorm,
has so much might.
Is the sky angry at all it sees?
Sending winds blowing so roughly through the trees.
Flashes and booms, like the sky is falling.
Almost as if mother nature herself is calling.
Is she scared of night too?
When it’s black instead of blue.
When the sun’s asleep,
and all the small critters.
A night time blanket taking care of their shivers.
So every twelve hours I lay there in fright,
all because the day becomes night.
