It was a warm sunny morning when Harry woke up to the blinding sun falling on his eyes. He felt like something was wrong though so he got dressed and headed downstairs to see if anything was wrong but nothing was so he headed out for the day to go play with his friend Jonathon. As he was heading out he heard his mom remind him that he still needs to eat breakfast so he does, yet he doesn’t know what to eat. It was as if there was nothing in there to eat, yet there were so many things there. He looks around and he finally finds oatmeal in his pantry so he makes some, eats, and heads out.

He finds Jonathan in his backyard playing on a swing set.

“Yo jonathan how’s it going,” said Harry,

“nothin much how's it hangin,” said Jonathan

“Do you wanna hangout?”

“Sure bro at my place?”

“You already know it,”

They go and hangout on the swingset when suddenly Harry has a thought ‘What if i jumped off the swingset while swinging?’ so he tries it out, and immediately after he hits his head on a rock, everything goes dark and he is alone with his thoughts.

Harry wakes up surrounded by people he has no clue who they are, it was like he was a newborn, and even worse he doesn't know who he is! He finally musters up the courage to say “who are you people? And better yet who am I?” As soon as Harry said that they all started bawling out tears, one after another they explained who they were. Harry’s mom goes first, then his sister, then his dad, then his best friend Jonathan, and finally Jonathan’s mom. Finally they asked the doctor almost simultaneously if there was anyway to fix it, the doctor replied “Unfortunately there currently is no possible cure for amnesia,” they sat in silence for a while and then they went back home and he decided to catch up on all the stuff he missed by going back to Jonathan's house and going on the swing set he figured that it was worth a try to do it again to gain his memory back. So he did and it worked and everything went back to the way it was. However, they took out the rock that was right in front of the swing set, and made it into a souvenir keychain to keep for everybody.

This piece was inspired by something that happened to me when I was younger, I got hit in the head very hard with a bat and had to get stitches and i had no clue what was going on but later i started to remember what happened.
