Isaac's story
I've always been a lucky kid and a well behaved one, I might add. I had a mom and dad and a big house with a pet dog. Later my parents had my baby sister, Christie. She was the best thing that ever happened to me. I love her to pieces. Sometimes my mom, dad, Christie, and I would go out to the park and play. Those are the moments I remember the best. I thought everything was going great until my something happened that to hanged my look on things for a while.
A day or two after my birthday my friend wanted to take me out. Anyways I was walking home with them so we could watch a movie at the house when I saw my fathers car smashed and thrown off the road. I stopped where I was slowly realizing that my father was there on the street a few feet from the car. I raced to get to him. No police cars or ambulances were there yet. I got to my father and he was slightly breathing and covered with his own blood.
I held him in my arms as he took his final breath on earth. My friends ran to check the other car and my fathers car to see if there was anymore people. I knew none of my other family members were in the car because he always went out for bowling night with his friends. Police finally came and announced him dead on scene. After holding him in by arms, refusing to let go, I told the officers everything I witnessed and I walked the rest of the way home alone to tell my family the news.
As we were sobbing over our lose of the man who kept this family together when a police officer knocked on the door. He told us our father was just stopped at the sign and a drunk driver crashed into him throwing him out of the car. Ever since that night I shut people out and went to therapy for my depression. They couldn't get me out of that state from the longest time and when I actually started to feel better it was because I found a girl I loved.
Life began to get better. She had to stay at the house because my mom. Sometimes she will take care of people who need a safe place to stay. We stayed together, we never wanted to be apart. I was there for her when she was hurt and when I got hurt she as there for me. Ava was her name. She knows everything about me and my past and I know everything about her and her past. We are the best thing that has ever happened to each other.
I overheard her and my mother talking about how she has noticed a big change in how I act since she came around. She filled most of the space that my father left empty. I still love and miss my dad but everything is alright now.
