A Disheartening Encounter

"Would you like fries with that? There's no recognition in her eyes.
"Don't you remember me?" His eyes betray him and show vulnerability.
"I can't say that I do." She leads a busy life.
He tells her the affect she's had on his.
Things that make him struggle to get out of bed in the morning.

Poor Peter's Pet

A boy named Peter can't find his pet spider.
We just found him shining from the light.
He won't tell us why he ran away, but it's looking like his penalty will be execution.
Peter isn't here to object.
We're empathetic but the outcome is inevitable.
We love peter but we don't love his pet.

Narcissus:

His view:

He believes he's a gift from the heavens.
Everything is on his terms.
He will not let you have the satisfaction of getting an apology out of him, even when he knows it's warranted.
He knows our attempts won't change him.
He doesn't want to be changed.
He's got friends that can't help but stick around.
They love him.

Her view:

She's attracted to his confidence
And appalled by his arrogance.
She believes he's a gift from the heavens,
A gift to someone else.
She doesn't have the upperhand.
She knows his sorries aren't genuine.
She's in love with someone she wants to change
Although her success is unlikely
Her false hopes continue their lurking.

The cool new thing.

The smell enveloped me when he passed.
He was going the wrong way.
I was confused but apathetic.
He came back, this time with a friend.
My confusion turned to horror, they were smoking cigarettes.
Couldn't have been older than fourteen.
At the bus stop to head to school.
I hope they die of malignant cancer.

My fifty five words were up before I had said everything I wanted to in most of these.
I feel bad for my characters without resolution.
