The Good Day
This morning I woke up and dragged myself downstairs.
My Mom is making breakfast and says, “I have a surprise when your Dad gets home.”
I grin wondering what the surprise is. I scarf down my breakfast trying to contain my excitement about the surprise. I veg-out on my favorite show to distract myself but it doesn’t help. I sprint upstairs, grab a book, and my fish. I read until I heard the door unlock;
I shout, “is dad home?!”
My mom shouts, “Yes!”
I sprint downstairs,
my parents say, “We’re going to disney world!”
Today was a good day.
