  • U.S. News and World Report 2021 rankings place UW-Stevens Point 14th among regional public universities in the 12 states of its Midwest region. The university was recognized for solid reputation among peer institutions, low student-to-faculty ratio and retention of first-year students.  
  • The city of Stevens Point was recognized by Wallet Hub's "Best College Towns and Cities in America," ranking fifth out of 415 cities across the nation.
  • The education program at UW-Stevens Point has ranked second in the nation according to Study.com, for the second year in a row.
  • UW-Stevens Point is the only university in the state to have all of its fine arts programs (art, dance, music and theatre) nationally accredited.
  • UW-Stevens Point was the first university in the state to have 100 percent of its electricity come from renewable sources.
