Four Minutes
Summary:
Car accidents are one of those things that someone never really expects to happen to them. Like being robbed, or falling asleep on the bus and missing your stop. It happens to other people. It's always something you hear about on the news or in school, just an image that you rarely witness in real life. And then when you least anticipate it, sometimes it happens. Sometimes you make it out fine and dandy and other times you don't. And sometimes, there's unusual circumstances. There's things that don't quite add up.
My accident didn't add up.
It messed me up.
Physically, I was fine. But mentally? Mentally, I was a train wreck. Mentally, never left that secluded road on that rainy day. I wrecked my car the summer before my senior year of high school and not one day has gone by that I haven't thought about what happened that day, and what has happened since.
